With its new Cape Cod Crepuscule watch, Hermès has created one of the most stylish watches in recent memory. The Cape Cod watch was born in 1991 from the pencil strokes of the artistic director of Hermèss Henri d’Origny. The square-within-a rectangle case remains unchanged, but the Cape Cod now comes in a new color. This is the result from Hermès’ meeting in Switzerland with the Neuchâel-based Swiss Center for Electronic and Microtechnology (CSEMA) in 2018 as part its search for a technological solution that would be dedicated to creative thinking. The first Zenith Defy model was released in 1962. It was a game-changing piece that broke with the quartz movements of the time and relied on traditional mechanical movements. Omega has launched its new Speedmaster watch for the year 2022. The Speedmaster Caliber 321 is the brand’s latest major release and features the classic design, which was introduced in 1957, recast into 18 carat Canopus Gold. The new 38.60 mm watch from Omega features a black onyx dial, a vintage Omega logo, and a black leather strap. It has a unique “O” shape that was typical for the original CK2915 watches back in 1957. After creating four limited-edition watches commemorating the work of the world’s most famous rock band, the Beatles, Swiss watchmaker, Raymond Weil, is now offering a totally unique four part set of watches in aid for Nordoff Robbins. At the time of their original launches in 2016, each of the four Beatles models was limited to just 3000 pieces, but Weil kept hold of the first example of each model, with all bearing the same serial number ‘0001’.
